The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has recently launched, in cooperation with Al Jalila Foundation, a charitable campaign under "Sanadhom Amanah" humanitarian initiative, to cover the expenses of treating a child with cancer, who lost one of his eyes at the age of 1 year due to this disease.
In this regard, Hanan Mohammed bin Nassif, Deputy Director of Governmental Communications Department at the Authority, stated that the campaign is a yet another initiative to be added to the series of joint charitable campaigns and activities launched by the Authority and Al Jalila Foundation during the past two years. The campaign he added, aims to secure treatment expenses for many low- income patients suffering from serious diseases.
She said: “This campaign comes in conjunction with the International Childhood Cancer Day, which falls on the 15th of February oevery year, and aimed at providing the costs of treating the child Yusuf, as well as contributing to the fundraising in support of medical research aimed at finding radical solutions to eliminate cancer.
Hanan bin Nesaif added: “The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has publicized the campaign at the Federal Government level to allow the opportunity for the largest number of employees of the ministries and federal entities to participate in community work and charitable giving through their various social networking accounts or via BAYANATI.
She called on community groups to contribute to the campaign and donate AED 10, AED 50, AED 100 or AED 500, by sending the word ‘Sanad’ in an SMS, via Etisalat and du, to numbers 4202, 4206, 4209 , or 4409 respectively.
Through its community-based initiatives, the Authority seeks to maximize the benefits both within and outside the country, consolidate the values of volunteering and philanthropy, foster a spirit of social responsibility, as well as increase workplace happiness and loyalty volunteering.
